** Canceled ** OSHA mandates that workers exposed to fall hazards must be trained. How often, though? The answer Is clear in the OSHA and Washington fall protection regulations. Every two years, you need to provide new fall protection certification for competent persons Training: NEW RULE WAC-296-880 . Who is responsible for inspections Describes how to identify all fall hazards in the work area through Site Specific Fall Protection Work Plan; Describes the method of fall arrest or fall restraint; Demonstrates the proper procedures for the assembly, maintenance, inspection, and disassembly of the fall protection system to be used; Describes the proper procedures for the handling, storage, and securing of tools and materials; Describes the method of providing overhead protection for workers who may be in, or pass through the area below the worksite; Practice a method for prompt, safe removal of injured workers; Discuss Ladder Safety Rules in WAC 296-Ladders - Competent persons will be required to don harnesses, determine proper fit. - Competent persons will be required to use rope grab and self retracting line line systems. - Competent Person will be required to inspect all equipment related to a personal fall arrest program

Time

Class starts at 8am and goes till 2pm with a 30 minute lunch
